A Tribute To My Sister And Her Family

These are our next door neighbors, my sister Leann and her husband Jason. Yep, I live next door to one of my best friends.

The last year and a half has been a bit challenging for them. Leann has had to go through a sharp learning curve to understand how to handle a chemical imbalance she inherited from our fathers side of the family. During this time her husband, my parents, Jason's parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters and friends have rallied around this family to uphold them throughout the process. Jason, thanks for all the love and support you have shown throughout this process! We have all learned that the Lord's timing is not our own and that through this journey He will sustain us even if we don't feel it. My sister has come so FAR this last year. Her efforts to get through each days, even though it has been extremely hard some days, has enabled her to take small steps up her ladder.

Leann is a very special and talented person and with those talents will bless many lives. She already has, she has blessed my life. The other day we were in my living room visiting teaching and Leann taught me that yelling at children does not do anything but bring down their self worth. Their are so many other ways to discipline children. I know yelling is not a good form a discipline, but sometimes I just slip.

Anyway, those that struggle with depression I feel for you! I know my sister might always have to deal with it, but she is learning good skills to deal with it, as are we also:). Leann, I love you! I love your family! Your boys are so cute. I have a different bond with them than I do any other. I'm glad we are sisters!
