Garden Update

As you can see the garden is growing and somehow the weeds grow faster than the produce. It's like my Grandma's neighbor said, weeds are like interest, they never SLEEP.

The friend who I've known the longest, Traci, met me at Aaron's grandma's house to help me weed. I am SOOOOO grateful for her help. Ayden slept most of the time and Abigail spent the morning with my mom. I believe the Lord had a hand in it all.

Here is a funny story. When Grandma Clark came out to look at the garden she showed us the cantaloupe plant we planted last week and than she went to show us the cucumber plant and couldn't find it. I asked her if it was a couple of plant looking growth, but they were weeds in disguise. We found the cucumber plant, I weeded it:) Whoops. So we decided to plant a few more in a different place. Grandma went back inside and Traci and I planted the cucumbers. When Grandma Clark returned I'm sure she wasn't surprised to see we had planted it all wrong. We had planted it way too deep, I told Grandma we could find the seeds and she said no, they'll be okay. I had a hunch though I had done it wrong so I went to find the seeds and Grandma was like they couldn't be that far down and I said oh yes they could and Traci said, "Grandma, we're city folk!" TRACI YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!! Thanks for all your help.

Your garden is awesome! We finally planted 2 tomato plants, 1 cucumber and 1 bell pepper in containers on our back patio on Saturday. I think I already killed the bell pepper - all the leaves but 3 fell off today!

I loved helping out and learning a thing or two from grandma. Baby steps. I'm trying to keep some window boxes alive, but I don't know if I will win. ALWAYS love being with you Criny.
