Today, my heart reaches out to several friends whose hearts ache because of trials in their life. Over the course of this year I have learned about several friends who have had their lives turned upside down. Their life of peace has been tested and tried! The trials range from friends who wish they were married and aren't, ones who's husbands have made bad decisions and are not married anymore, ones whose spouse's poor choices have caused too many tissues to be used and a wet pillow on their bed, ones that have roommates who were suicidal and find them half dead, one whose father is dying from cancer. The list could go on and on. Their is sooooo much suffering in this world. To each of you who feel this way I send you my love and a big hug. I wish those hugs could take all your pain away, but I know they can't. Only the Saviors love can do that.
Sometimes I think to myself... "I thought life would be easier than this" but I've come to understand my thinking was a little blinded back then. Every family has a loved one who suffers from a major obstacle, no one is left untouched. Through those trials they grow and somehow get through them as a changed person. But they don't do it alone. They need their family members to help. Families are so critical! In the Proclamation to the World on Families from the LDS Church it reads, "Family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children". Heavenly Father must have known that we could not get through our trials without the help of our family members. I believe we each were given different talents and abilities to help our loved ones go through their trials. For example, I feel I was given the abilities to help my sisters family so they can get through some obstacles in their lives. In return, they help me in ways they don't know. We all learn different lessons. i have learned that our thoughts change our feelings. So if I'm thinking sad thoughts, than most likely I will want to curl up in a ball and cry but if I can control my thoughts and train them to be positive ones than most likely I want to smile at someone.
I love what Marjorie Hinckley once said, "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." I love you each and may the Lord bless us all.

what a great post. You have such a great attitude! Miss you!
Great post. I too have felt this way many times (all the suffering in the world and why some lives seem to be so so difficult). I love what you said about being put in families so we can help each other through our hard times. I believe that.
I know we have had our heavy loads that the Savior has been able to take from us and I'm so grateful.
Your family looks great. You are such a bright light!
i agree! thanks for always being so positive! merry christmas!
What a great way to express things we can all relate to at some point in our lives. (I felt the spirit). Thanks:)
i know what you mean. it seems like everyone is dealing with something major, (except me-knock on wood) thanks for the inspiration!
I love you Christine. You are a TRUE, TRUE friend. Last night, for New Years Eve, I was reminded of one of my favorite nights. It was with you and we were in Buff's room on Dickel Rd. just talking. We looked at each other, said, "Happy New Year," and kept talking.
...That and our midnight runs in central park.
